# My Placement - Fired from My Internship

## What to do when you are fired from your internship.

### I Was Fired from My Internship

If you are fired from your placement, Intrax cannot assist you in finding another placement. Depending on the reasons for your termination, such as stealing, failing to report for your shifts, or getting into a fight, you may be subject to dismissal from the program and be required to depart the United States. Should you be fired or let go, contact Intrax immediately to report that you are no longer training at your Host Company and to discuss the next steps.

If you were laid off from your Host Company through no fault of your own, please contact Intrax, and we will discuss how we can help. In some cases, we may allow you to find a new host company. Do not start a new internship without official approval from Intrax, as this is a violation of J-1 visa regulations.
