My Program Is Coming to an End Soon. Are There Additional Steps I Need to Take?
If you are finishing your program in good standing as scheduled, no additional action is needed on your part. You will need to depart the United States within 30 days of the end date printed on your DS-2019.
If you purchased insurance through Intrax, your insurance will expire the day after the end date printed on your DS-2019 form. If you plan to remain in the US during the 30-day grace period at the end of your program, it is your responsibility to make sure you have insurance coverage.
Intrax can extend your insurance policy for an additional 30 days to cover the grace period for an additional fee. We cannot prorate the cost for a shorter duration. Contact Intrax at intsupport@intraxinc.com or call 888-224-0450 at least two weeks before the end of your program, and our support staff will issue you an invoice and extend your insurance policy.
